Tool #10

There were lots of free educational apps. I focused mainly on the ones appropriate for the age level of my students(4 year olds). A couple that I checked out were :
ABA FlashCards--Alphabet-Kindergarten.com
ABA Pocket PhonicsLite: Lettersounds and writing +first words
I could see some of my struggling students using these apps with added motivation.

I also checked out the apps that are free for SBISD to be used on ITouchs :
GoogleEarthApp and Photoshop.com
Both of these had info that will be useful.

  1. You are right that your students will be very motivated by being able to easily use the itouch apps. They will be learning and not even realizing it!

  2. Hi Nancy! I like the ABA apps from Kindergarten.com too. Back in April, during Autism Awareness month, they had free downloads of their apps. I've been playing around with some of them. Keep a list of good apps you come across. In August Karen Justl will be giving us a training on our iTouch and Netbooks. (The equipment arrived at Bear last week.) Exciting times ahead. Enjoy your time off between summer school and August 12.
